“Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being.” – Gen. 2:7
Yes, my dear brothers and sisters, God has put life into each and every human being and has “created mankind in his image and according to his likeness” – Gen 1:26. There is a celebration when any child is born and every year that day is celebrated in rememberance of the life put in that person. But what is important is that does every human being really cherish that ‘life’ in Christ?
No, my dear brothers and sisters. That is why we find that there are so many divisions in the name of caste, creed, religion, state and country.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. But Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly” – Jn. 10:10. We have allowed the thief to come and destroy us in body, soul and mind. And we have pushed aside the ‘life’ which God has blessed us with.
The last words of my mother on her death bed were, “God has given me 70 yrs of life in him and I thank God for it.” My mother lived her life in Christ and I believe that she is now rejoicing with the angels and saints. “We do not live to ourselves and we do not die to ourselves. If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s” – Romans. 14:7-8.
So, my dear brothers and sisters, let us make a decision to live our lives in Christ, peaceably with one another, so that we may live eternally with our Lord Jesus Christ.
