The tongue is a very small member of our body. But it is a very powerful one. There is a saying, “Just like a pen in the hand of a writer so is the tongue in the body of a man”. Words can build up someone or break them down. Words can console someone or stir up anger. Words have the power to bring life as well as death. What we speak with our tongue depends on the life we lead. The bible speaks in many places about taming the tongue, but I’m sure none of us have ever read it. Or even if we have read about it, we have not taken it seriously. So now let us reflect a little about it.
Building a relationship with God is a very important task in our lives. Relationship means an intimacy with God. It means to have a very close and personal relationship with God. It involves listening to him, talking to him and experiencing him in your life. This relationship should be built on love, trust and deep respect for God.
Greetings to all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Parents usually keep telling their children, 'be careful'; specially when they leave the house to go somewhere or sometimes the wife tells the husband, 'be carefull, drive slow'. These are small acts of concern shown by our family members, friends and the people we stay with. But the word of God tells us, “keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong.” - 1 Corinthians 16:13. There are four aspects in this verse.
“You do not even know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” – James 4:14. Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow. Only God knows. Because God is our Creator. He is omnipotent. He is omniscient. He is beyond time. Even what has not happened, God knows it. When we are in God’s hands, then we need not worry about tomorrow. Jesus himself says, “So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” – Matthew 6:34.
Grace is more than a doctrine,
More than a theology,
More than a subject,
More than any allegory.
What is grace?
Grace is a person.
In the letter to Titus
Chapter 2 verse 11 it says
For the grace of God has appeared
Bringing salvation to all.
Who appeared?
Jesus appeared to bring salvation.
What is God’s grace?
In simple words it is His ABILITY
In your INCAPABILITY.
