A Faithful friend is someone who is loyal and steadfast, someone who remains supportive and dependable, even through difficult times. A faithful friend is one who will allow your suffering to affect their life. A faithful friend is a relationship built on mutual respect, trust and love. In today’s world I can never find anyone who can remain so faithful except Jesus Christ. He is truly my faithful and my best friend. I know I can depend on him at all times; in sickness, in troubles, in pain and in distress. Jesus Christ is the only one whom I can trust blindly and also gain love unconditionally. All through my life, my difficulties and pain, my sickness and sorrow I had no one with me except my Jesus who promises me, “And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”- Matthew 28:20.
Jesus Christ is the only one whom we can run to all times. “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.”- Proverbs 18:18. As a friend, my Jeus tells me, “Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10. There are many people in this world who will tell you, “Don’t worry, I am there with you.” But when we really want them, that time they are not with us. But whenever I call on to my Jesus, he is with me. I can feel him. I can hear him talk to me. I know he is listening when I am talking to him. I can rely on him. I can blindly trust his ways for me.
My dear brothers and sisters, I have come to such a phase in life, where I know that when the world closes all its doors to me, my Jesus opens the door to him. And that is all I need.
Thank you, my Jesus for being with me, for protecting me, for taking care of me. For forgiving me, for loving me, for understanding me, for being my Provider, for consoling and comforting me. Thank you, my Jesus for being my faithful friend.
