Jesus said “In the world you face persecution, but take courage. I have conquered the world” (Jn. 16:33)
Yes! Dear brothers and sisters, people in the world suffer in various ways. People come to me with their varied problems. Many are suffering due to sickness, others suffer due to poverty, exploitation, injustice, enemity, quarrels, hatred, anger, revenge, mental disorder, broken family, joblessness and almost all suffer due to guilt. For all these problems, the answer is Jesus. So trust in him and come to him. So if you are suffering from any of the following problems, then the answer is Jesus.
To those who are heavily burned with sins, debts, lonliness, Jesus says “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble of heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Mt. 11:28-30)
To those who are sick and bed ridden, the Lord says “For neither herb nor practice cured them, but it was your word, O Lord, that heals all people” (Wisdom. 16:12). So give more and more word of God to the sick and bed ridden, and the life in the word will heal them.
To those who are sad and in sorrow, the Lord says “Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you” (1 Pet 5:7)
To all those who are in trouble and threatened by the enemies Jesus says “Call to me, I will answer you, I will be with you in trouble, I will rescue you and honour you, with long life, I will satisfy you and show you my salvation” (Psalm. 91:14-16)
To all those who have lost hope, and do not want to live Jesus says “I came that you may have life and have it abundantly” (Jn. 10:10)
In all those families, where there is quarrels and fights, welcome Jesus, gather in the name of Jesus, pray together and see the result, for the Lord says “For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them” (Mt. 18:20).
If you are so frightened of death, to them the Lord says “I am the resurrection and the life; those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die” (Jn. 11:25-26)
And finally brothers, if you are so frightened and trembling, to you the Lord says “Fear not I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand” (Is. 41:10)
So, there is victory in Jesus, there is fullness of life in Jesus. So come to him, do not delay. He saves you, he redeems you. Jesus is Lord. Amen.
