There are sometimes in our life where we feel that God has left our hands and made us to face this hard situation alone. But in 1 Tim 2:13 we read that if we are faithless, he remains faithful- for he cannot deny himself, this verse makes us clear that it is we who leave God’s hand, but our God is so faithful not only to us but also to himself that he cannot deny himself from loving us. We read in Jn 3:16 For GOD so loves the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. So, this is for sure that God never leaves our hand.

The reason we feel lonely is because we focus on our problem more than his words and promises saying that he protects and guides his children. We read in Ps 127:2 It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives sleep to his beloved. It is really in vain that we over think about our problem and try to solve them by ourself, it will not lead us to solution but it will lead us to loneliness and unnecessary thoughts saying ‘God is not with us’ in fact God’s word says Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved. Ps 55:22.

Another reason why we feel that God has forgotten us is because of our sins. We read in Is 59:2-3 Rather, your iniquities have been barriers between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear. Many a timesas a believer we fall into temptation again and again, but we fail to repent back to God and commit ourselves not to fall back into it again. In Prov 21:17 we read Whoever loves pleasure will suffer want; … it is because we loved pleasure more than Godso, we are suffering the want i.e. we are wanting and panting for the presence of God. We humans are nothing without God so to survive in this cruel world we need him, if we ever have gone away from him because of our sins then let us humble ourselves and ask forgiveness of what we have done and surely, he will forgive us. We read in Jer 15:19 Therefore, thus says the LORD; If you turn back, I will take you back, … and finally No one who conceals transgressions will prosper, but one who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. So never hide your sins from him and with those whom you have wronged, and you will obtain mercy both from your fellow neighbour and God. His mercy is as welcome in time of distress as clouds of rain in time of drought, Sir 35:26. God never leaves us for heis God Emmanuel who is always with us, never lose hope and always let us abide in the peace of Christ. Amen
