When the three wise men had heard the king, they set out; and there, ahead of them, went the star that they had seen at its rising, until it stopped over the place where the child was.” – Matt. 2:9. It was a shining star that led the three wise men to where Jesus was born. When they had finished paying homage to Jesus, they did not need any star to take them back home. They came to know Jesus; and they themselves became a star to lead others to Jesus.

Jesus says, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” – John. 8:12. When we have Jesus in us, then we become the light to bring others to him. “You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.” – Matt. 5:14-15

My dear brothers and sisters, let us all now make a decision to become a light to all people and lead them to Jesus, our true God. This day let us all become a shining star for Jesus Christ. “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” – Matt. 5:16
